If you smell gas near a heater, leave the area and call 911 or SoCalGas from a safe distance. Keep children away from cloudy or green water.
What helps the provider respond accurately
- Which equipment is involved: pump, filter, heater, salt system, lights, or automation.
- What you see or hear: noises, error codes, leaks, pressure readings, or water color.
- Whether you have a pool, an attached spa, or a portable spa.
- How your heater is fueled (natural gas, propane, heat pump, or solar), if relevant.
- Gate codes or access notes, and whether you own or rent.
What happens next
